You see how specweave init, create-increment and status set up and track a piece of work.
You need: Node.js 20.12 or later and git
npm i -g specweave, then run specweave init in your repository.specweave create-increment "title". It creates the increment's spec.md, where you write the problem, acceptance criteria and tasks.specweave pickup to see the open increment and the next task with its acceptance criteria.specweave task claim T-01. When it is done, run specweave task done T-01 --run "<test>" so the test output is saved as evidence.specweave verify, then close it with specweave complete <id>. Run specweave status at any point to see progress.SpecWeave is a CLI-first framework. Six commands you'll reach for every day — let's run them in order.
Start a new project with specweave init. One command scaffolds the whole .specweave folder, plugins, and documentation pipeline — ready in seconds.
Plan a feature with specweave create-increment. SpecWeave generates spec, plan, tasks and metadata — every artifact wired to the same increment number.
Track progress with specweave status. Active increments, task completion, pending sync to GitHub or Jira — all on one screen, no browser tab required.
Generate docs with specweave living-docs. Specs become a Docusaurus site automatically — your specs ARE the documentation, always in sync with the code.
Six commands — init, create-increment, status, living-docs, save, complete. Full reference at verified-skill dot com slash docs slash cli-reference. That's the SpecWeave CLI.
